Are modern information technologies necessary in our life or not?

                By the end of the 20th century lots of inventions have been made as you know. Some of them have become so commonplace that it is difficult to imagine them as inventions. Everybody uses a lot of helpful and necessary things such as washing machine, vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, TV set, radio, CD players, and stereo system and so on. But it’s wrong to think that all people are positive about high-tech appliances and sure that technology will save the world and make it better. There are people who claim that technology will ruin the society because we are too dependent on electronic gadgets and machines. And what is your opinion? Are technologies necessary or not?

 I consider that there are some invaluable and extremely useful for people. Can you agree that without the computer the 21st century would be impossible? Computers today are running factories, planning our cities, teaching children. The computer I guess solves in seconds the problems a generation of mathematicians would need days or weeks to solve without its help. Many people can’t imagine their existence without it, and am not an exception. It is fast, convenient and reliable to work on a PC. It helps me in solving many routine problems and not only. Computer is extremely multifunctional appliance. Either it is a complex calculation of some mathematical tasks or large text word processing, HiFi-quality music composing-computer is a very useful and labor-saving gadget. I study on my PC, entertain myself during the free time. It provides a possibility to develop different skills with the use of Internet. All this is available only through the computer. Isn’t it wonderful??? But we must understand that the degree to which computer take over human functions may frighten and astonish us. Do you have a computer at home and what it its role in your life? And speaking about your children do you allow them to play computer games for hours? I completely agree with you.

Computers as a running factories

A great number of people possibly can’t live without their cars. You see convenience seems to be the most common and most logical answer to it. Cars take us where we want to go and when we want. I think in many cases car is the way of self-expression. Maybe a car is a necessity rather than luxury. On the other hand there are too many cars in out city. Some people use them in cases when they could go on foot. What is more important is that  it is time to give thought to problems caused by cars, the main of which are air pollution, accidents and some others.

One more interesting and inevitable thing of our life is a mobile phone. Have you got a mobile phone?  Do you consider it to an inevitable part of our daily life? Don’t you agree that advantages of having a telephone are numerous? We can get in touch with our friends or call the police or an ambulance/ for a great number of people it is impossible to live without a telephone. Nobody thinks it is a luxury anymore. Smartphones are the friendly gadgets which have made everything reachable through a touch. They have occupied such a huge place in our daily lives that it is no wonder that for most of us, a smartphone is the first thing we look at in the morning and it is the last thing we see before going to bed. Keep your loved ones in touch, either through calls, text or images. which express the feeling in a sweet and amusing way. You may know where you are and find easy ways and routes to go anywhere, especially in an unknown place. You can make the world listen to your voice in a touch. You can spend your time wisely reading the news or doing some official work. Can entertain yourself with games, music or movies. Can always be available socially. Can avail the Customer service offers to be easily accessible. Food and groceries can be ordered online. Email and Banking become easy. Endless apps are available to make your dreams come true. Many more advantages you already know.

I also want to point out that there are people who choose to live without technologies; they even leave towns and cities for the sake of living in villages, taiga, and deep forests of Siberia. This is their choice to bring up children closely to Nature. Summing everything up I can say that whatever you choose you must not be too extreme neither in your liking high-techs not in rejecting them.
